About this blog & Contact Form

This is my personal blog. It is the place where I write entries for days spent walking or cycling, on trips out and holidays.

I first started blogging in a simple way back in April 2008. By February 2009 my blog posts had developed a more sophisticated style, one that embeds photos and web links to online photo albums and maps.

I write posts for this blog simply because I enjoy doing that, and also because it is interesting and fun for me to look back over the places I've been and the things I've done. I use a simple descriptive narrative to supplement the photo albums held in Flickr.

I don't use this blog as a personal diary or as a soapbox, and it is not about the private and personal things in my life. It's simply a log of many of my activities. It is produced primarily for my own use, but is widely available on the Internet for anyone to read who has an interest in my ramblings (in all senses of that word).

If you should spot any errors or omissions in what is contained here, and wish to let me know of these, or if you have any general comments on what you read, then please use my Contact Form below. Use the 'Subscribe via email' facility to receive notification of new posts to this blog. Alternatively, follow me on Twitter (this is a new trend for me, as of summer 2018), where I tweet new posts to this blog. A Twitter 'Follow' button can be found in the column to the right. Likewise for Google+.

Thank you for taking the time to view my blog. I hope that in doing so you have found some things that are of interest to you.

Regards,
Robert Slack

P.S. I have produced some GPS Route Planning notes that provide guidance on how to derive a walk/cycle route based upon the GPS tracklogs that I provide on my blog posts. If you wish to enquire about any aspect of route planning, please post your question using my Contact Form and I will endeavour to provide an answer. (21/06/2012)
